POSITION SUMMARY:
Attends to the service department lot, arranges the vehicles waiting for service, and returns the vehicles to their owners when their vehicle is ready. Washes, cleans, and dries vehicle before returning it to the customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Picks up vehicles from customers in the service drive and parks them in the service lot.
- Rearranges vehicle positions in the service lot.
- Delivers serviced vehicles to waiting customers.
- Washes, cleans, and dries serviced vehicles (inside and out).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Repeatedly raises and lowers vehicles’ hood and trunk and lifts tires in and out of vehicles.
- Accurately reads and compares a series of “18”number and letter combinations.
- Communicates clearly with supervisor and mangers.
- Drives standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Insurability for driving.
- Extensive (up to 8 consecutive hours) standing and walking (up to 4 miles daily) on cement, usual parking lot surfaces, tile, lino and other interior and exterior flooring surfaces.
- Extensive out-of-doors work during daytime and nighttime hours in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Repeated, regular and extended sliding, twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and reaching.
- Repeatedly and regularly gets in and out from front and back seats of different sized vehicles.
- Repeatedly lifts, leverages and carries up to 65 pounds for both short and longer distances and over a variety of walking surfaces.
- Repeatedly, regularly and frequently washes, cleans and dries vehicles (inside and out).
- Mentally recalls, tracks and accurately recounts location of vehicles, work in progress and information pertinent to the job.
- Works cooperatively and courteously with a diverse population of co-workers and customers. Clearly and effectively communicates with diverse work group; handles frustration, anger and pressure without internalizing.
- Works on several assignments simultaneously with accurate results.
- Ability to stay on task in order to insure timely and accurate completion of duties.
- Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
- Receives directions regarding assignments and then follows through on assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
